“Treme,” HBO’s new original series set in post-Katrina New Orleans, touches upon the issue of education reform in its second episode. The Lusher Charter School, which moved into the former Alcee Fortier High School, is portrayed to have displaced students and a knock on school choice.
Last year, PBS Newshour reported on the growing contribution made by charter schools in New Orleans.”
